INDUSTRY web specialist The Consultancy is to showcase new technology in a traditional market as it challenges visitors at this year’s FIT event to ‘Enter the digital age’.
The company has launched interactive web and mobile phone technology in a bid to take the glazing industry by storm, enabling customers to see digitally how their products could look from their mobile phones.
And The Consultancy, who were recently shortlisted in the North East Top Business Awards, will be using the three-day FIT event in April to showcase to potential clients the benefits of using this revolutionary technology.
Director Richie Thornton said: “In recent years we have shifted our focus to supplying web and digital solutions for the windows and doors industry.
“This change of focus came about after we noticed that the solutions we had developed for some of our clients had created a huge impact, particularly in terms of visualising the products and online ordering. We see a direct link; the firms that are succeeding appear to be the ones that are embracing digital technology.”
One of the digital apps created by The Consultancy allows customers to try out solutions and designs so they can see exactly how doors would look on their own homes.
The company is also using its attendance at the FIT show to launch new interactive products, which are designed to simplify traditional ordering methods and help to generate further growth.
Richie added: “We enjoyed a successful 2012 and are aiming for the same this year. We want to be able to forge new relationships with potential customers, which is why we are going to the FIT show in April.
“We will be profiling a range of solutions which showcase exactly what we can do and the range of our capabilities. Much of our work is tailor-made for our customers; they all work to different specifications so it is important for us to be able to give them what they need.”
The Consultancy, whose clients include Door Stop; Custom Made Group; Edge Tech; Quick Slide; Renolit; Blyweert, is hoping to double its workforce by the end of the year.
