When you’re supplying a product as popular as composite doors, you need to choose your products wisely. For Nathan Barr, Managing Director of ODL Europe, there’s only one answer: “We are the exclusive UK partners of the internationally renowned Capstone Engineering Ltd composite door. As the only UK seller of the technically superior Capstone Composite Door, our customers have the reassurance of offering a composite door that delivers both exceptional quality and value that sets them apart from the competition. It means our doors offer a superior pedigree.”
A quick look at the credentials the Capstone composite doors reveal that Nathan is right about their pedigree.
Capstone doors are stronger and heavier than standard composite doors because they’re manufactured with LVL (laminated veneered lumber), which gives the door a stronger resistance to twisting, bowing and warping. There is no finger jointing either: the laminated one piece construction features a glue line every 3mm for extra strength and stability.
The high density polyurethane core delivers exceptional thermal performance with typical U values of 0.9 W/m2K for solid doors and 1.4 W/m2K for half glazed doors. And security is assured because the door slabs meet PAS 24:2016 requirements as standard.
The doors are manufactured with a 100% pure PVC composite rail which gives excellent screw retention compared to many competitors’ products which are only 70% PVC. It also means there’s no need for fillers or edge banding.
It isn’t just the technical specifications where Capstone measures up, it’s also the aesthetics. There are numerous designs and colours available, All feature a 2mm high density pigmented woodgrain GRP skin that delivers durability and security for long-lasting good looks.
As Nathan says: “Capstone are composite door experts and it shows. The Capstone door slab delivers uncompromising standards of design, build and quality that stand the test of time. Why would you select anything less?”
