It might not have been the biggest at this year’s FIT Show, but there’s no denying that Quickslide’s stand at the Telford International Centre was one of the most exciting, thanks to a display of market leading products and the addition of its football themed Quick Shot competition – a highlight that earnt the West Yorkshire based trade fabricator a FIT Show award for ‘Best Creative Marketing Campaign’.

The award, which was presented at the exhibition’s extravagant 1930s themed gala dinner, recognised the effort to create a fun and engaging stand at FIT, with a competition that challenged visitors to go up against the clock and score as many points as possible by kicking footballs through a number of Quickslide ‘windows’. The hotly contested challenge was eventually won by Sam Humphrey, who notched up 220 points within 30-seconds, claiming a PlayStation 4 and FIFA game for his efforts.

Tom Swallow, Quickslide’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “Ours is a fun industry, which is why we had the Formula 1 simulator at the 2014 FIT Show, and the Quick Shot competition this year. It obviously proved to be hugely popular, and it also gave us a fantastic opportunity to meet new and existing customers.

“We are a service driven company ­ we listen to our customers and adapt our product range and our service to suit, so our stand at The FIT Show was also the perfect place to discuss new ideas and whether there is a market for them, as well as to see what new products are being brought to market and what options we have to introduce them into our existing offering,” he added.

In addition to the Quick Shot competition, Quickslide also presented a collection of its renowned PVC-U casement and sliding sash windows, including an example of its Secured by Design vertical slider, and one that had been finished with an eye catching leaf print design.

Tom said: “No one could accuse us of having a boring stand! The patterned window was obviously something a bit different, but really it’s just an example of what we can do. We do of course offer a range of nine colours as standard on our sash windows, with the option of any RAL or Farrow & Ball colours and smooth or woodgrain finishes – but you never know, there might be a market for something a bit more adventurous!

“We had a hugely successful three days at this year’s FIT Show, and we’d have to say that there’s no doubt it was the busiest yet. As well as a constant stream of people lining up to take part in the Quick Shot game, we were also inundated with genuine enquiries from new and existing customers and are already looking forward to bigger and better things at the NEC next year,” he concluded.
