Richard Bate, Build Check October 2012

CE Marking is the hot topic for 2013, and the FIT Show is the place to be seen. Build Check, UKAS accredited laboratory and Notified Body for CE Marking, can be found on Stand 2-202. Visitors to the show can ask experts about CE marking and what they’ll need to do to comply with the new legislation coming into force on 1 July 2013.

“There’s so much information about CE Marking but it can be confusing. It doesn’t have to be complicated to comply – but it does have to be right,” says Richard Bate, Build Check’s technical director. “Company owners and directors will be personally liable if they don’t comply with the new regulations so it’s important to make sure they stay the right side of the law.”

CE Marking expert Richard Bate is leading a seminar for FIT Show visitors on Wednesday 17 April at 12:30. Richard’s 25 minute presentation explains the minimum requirements for CE Marking windows & doors in the UK. It is tailored for manufacturers & installers and will guide delegates through the Factory Production Control (FPC) requirements, what Initial Type Testing (ITT) is required including what constitutes acceptable evidence & preparing Declaration of Performance (DoP) & the CE Mark. The information Build Check gives is straightforward & easy to follow.
