Warm edge technology manufacturer Edgetech, a Quanex company, is delighted to announce that it is now a certified member of the National Workplace Wellbeing Charter.
The Charter is a statement of intent, showing commitment to employees’ health and wellbeing. It provides a clear set of standards and ways to evaluate existing services, focusing on key areas including leadership, culture and communication.

Andy Jones, Edgetech’s Managing Director comments: “We are pleased to say that Edgetech has been recognised for the positive way in which we run the business and support our workforce. This achievement demonstrates that the company works at locally and nationally set standards. There are three levels, dependent on the size of the business: Commitment level for SME’s; Achievement level for medium to large companies; and Excellence for the much larger organisations.”

The process saw auditors visit Edgetech’s Coventry premises and assess all policies and practices, speaking with members of staff to gain an understanding of how the company operates and tracks the wellbeing of its staff. A business the size of Edgetech would usually receive the Commitment level award, but the effort shown in all areas helped the company exceed this and attain the next level up of Achievement.
Andy continues: “It is well documented that employees whose health and wellbeing are provided for by employers are happier and more productive. The Charter has provided a great opportunity for us to demonstrate our high levels of commitment to staff in this area. It makes sense that a healthy workforce also helps to reduce absence due to illness, and staff turnover. Our award of the Achievement level is a win-win situation for us, our employees and the industry in general. I’d like to thank everyone across the organisation for their hard work.”
