Long-standing Halo customer MTF (UK) Ltd has become one of the first in the industry to complete the process for compulsory CE Marking. The Bolton-based company supplies for the insurance industry and trade customers nationwide, and manufactures both frames and glass in-house.
Andrew Frith, MD of MTF explains: “For us, the new demands for compulsory CE Marking were fairly straightforward. We already met all the requirements with our products holding all relevant accreditations and appropriate kitemarks.
“The difficulty for some installers may come from the fact that whoever puts the glass and the frame together is classed as the ‘manufacturer’ and must be held responsible for the guarantee of both components. Luckily for us – we manufacture both the glass and the frames ourselves so we can proudly vouch for the quality and reliability of the entire finished product.
“The fact that we use Halo profile has helped speed up the CE marking process, as we know that these high-spec window systems meet all the requirements. Halo also provides all the relevant documentation for its systems, so we didn’t have to start from scratch in that respect.
“We’re very happy to be one of the first in the country to have officially met the new CE marking requirements, but it is somewhat academic really… we were already proudly working to these high standards thanks to our professional team and our carefully-chosen suppliers.”
