Force 8 has recently taken delivery of the latest generation of CNC machines to further expand theircomposite door production. Since the introduction of the Decadence range the demand for the unique contemporary doors has steadily grown over the past two years. The new machine replaces one of the older CNC’s, to help speed production of the new range of composite doors.
Force 8 have been manufacturing composite doors for over 10 years, specialising in unique designs which require a higher degree of accuracy, hence the investment in a second state of the art CNC machine. Force 8 are one of the few companies in the UK producing arched, and part arched doors, which is linked to their single length profile bending service, therefore millimetre perfection is a necessity, rather than a luxury. With the new machine installed arched doors can be milled, and at the same time the frame can go through the bending and fabrication process, giving Force 8 the assurance that both will be a perfect fit.
“This new unit will give us greater flexibility to produce even more new designs, linked with our paint facility it will open up a world of new possibilities” comments Dennis Sumner, Managing Director at Force 8. This is the latest in a long list of investment and innovations over the past two years, both in machinery and software, which included the addition of a unique online door design system.
“As a company we are constantly improving our products and service to the trade.”continues Dennis. “The new CNC machine will make a big difference to our production and speed up our lead times. We have seen demand grow in recent months due to the anti-bowing properties of the Decadence doors, which includes a reinforced slab, Sure Fire three latch system, adjustable hinges and heat resistant paint. This helps to combat the growing problem of bowing within composite doors, but these innovations require accuracy, which the new CNC will provide”
