August 2026
Welcome to the August Edition of Glass News
The Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) has launched with overwhelming support from across the fenestration industry following its inaugural Professional Development Day, held in Bristol. Glass News is proud to be WFN’s official media partner. More than 75 women from every corner of the country, representing every part of the fenestration supply chain, came together for a day of learning, networking and honest conversations, hearing from an inspiring line-up of speakers, including keynote speaker and former England Rugby Captain, Catherine Spencer.
In further news, some major investments have been underway with Fentrade’s new factory and showroom unveiling, with an investment programme of over £500,000 since the purchase of new premises earlier this year. And Made for Trade has announced a major expansion of its UK operations with the addition of Dimensions House, a 110,496 sq ft facility in Northampton that will become a key production, distribution and showroom site for the business. The site investment is complemented by another significant investment in Schirmer machinery to improve the quality of already industry leading production. The new premises will support Made for Trade’s continued growth by increasing production capacity, improving distribution efficiency and strengthening service levels for customers across the UK.
As always enjoy this edition.
