Selecta Systems has sent a comprehensive guide ‘Everything you need for CE Marking’ to all customers well ahead of the 1 July deadline for the new legislation.
Under the new law the company who fits the windows or doors is responsible for making sure the products they install are CE Marked. The business owners are personally liable for any failure to comply. Anyone caught not complying with the law could be prosecuted personally under Trading Standards. The individual as well as the company found guilty may be fined.
Because CE Marking is an important issue Selecta Systems is providing a support pack with practical advice and template documents to make it straight forward to CE Mark windows and doors.
The booklet ‘Everything you need for CE Marking’ explains the five steps needed to CE Mark and contains a quick guide chart to check your progress.
“This is just part of the customer support package we have in place,” says Mark Richmond, Selecta Systems sales and marketing director. “There are so many rules and regulations when running a business so I know how important it is to get practical support from your system supplier that saves you time and money. That’s why we started helping fabricators get ready for CE Marking back in 2009 by giving them their own Factory Production Control systems for free.”
Selecta Systems also has a complete range of composite, bi-fold and patio doors branded Ready-to-Fit that are supplied CE Mark ready.
