Bowater Architectural’s System10 Aluminium has been shortlisted for the Retrofit Product of the Year Award at the dedicated Greenbuild Awards.
Sales and Marketing Director Colin Torley explains: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this award, as the Greenbuild Awards is the only one of its kind in the UK that recognises truly sustainable buildings. With a focus on actual measured performance rather than just the design intent or performance specifications, for System10 Aluminium to be recognised is a fantastic achievement.”
System10 Aluminium is a revolutionary design concept that can be specified for buildings required to meet even the most stringent thermal and ecological standards. Unlike other systems currently available in the UK and Europe, System10 Aluminium from Bowater Architectural can achieve these standards whilst retaining all the design flexibility and aesthetic appeal of traditional aluminium windows, meaning there is no need to compromise on design to achieve lower carbon emissions.
The GreenBuild Award categories cover all sectors of the building environment, with prizes for excellence in newbuild and retrofit for domestic, leisure, retail, workplace and education buildings, as well as behavioural change and innovation. The category for best new retrofit product will be judged by the Energy Hub team at the University of Salford.
The Greenbuild Awards winners will be revealed at a celebratory dinner on 8th May, held at Manchester’s Midland Hotel, hosted by comedian Patrick Kielty.
