Emplas has strengthened its senior management team with the promotion of Kush Patel to Operations director.
Kush, who joined Emplas in 2004 as a production scheduler, fresh from university with a degree in business, has steadily progressed through the Emplas ranks gaining an understanding of the business from the grass-roots up.
This included rapid progression within a year to Planning and operations manager and a spell in the sales team before joining the Emplas Commercial Contracts team, to head up the delivery of a 27,000 window low and high rise refurbishment project for Bristol City Council.
Kush explained: “Emplas and the manufacturing industry was a great place to give practical application to many of the things that I had covered in my degree and then to build up experience across the business.
“This has been critical in building on my own understanding of the manufacturing industry but also and in particular, being out there heading-up the contracts team in Bristol, the challenges that our customers face.
“I know exactly how important accurate and on time delivery is to our customers, how a mis-measure can ruin your day and how someone turning around a remake quickly can make it again, because I’ve been out there and done it and I believe that’s a big help.”
Coming back into the operations team at a senior management level, he was promoted to Operations director, late last year.
Kevin Johnson, managing director, Emplas said: “Kush came to us as bright lad with a good background in business which he has built on to develop a great understanding of the manufacturing and window industry.
“He heads up and drives that understanding throughout his team and that’s been critical I enhancing the service and growing the service that we offer to our customers.”
